A photo double or body double has a perfect body match and a similar look to an actor in the film. Photo doubles are used on camera for shots that don’t involve the actor’s face. In any given movie, a double is likely the person picking up a wine glass or unfolding a napkin in a tight shot, driving a car, or walking into a restaurant in a wide shot. Child actors frequently have photo doubles, since the number of hours a minor can work is limited. Essentially, this role doubles the actor’s screen time by creating two of them.
